[ She doesn't need to be told twice! In fact, as soon as she receives this in the mail, she heads back inside to get ready (and by ready, I mean she grabs a bottle of banana booze that can conceal easily enough), and she's on her way to the spa! ]

[Even though the phone only goes to voice-mail, it'll pick up Hibiki's message. It starts with a wail and some panicked yelling at a barking dog behind her.]

Weda! W-weda! C-come on, this isn't funny! Pick up, okay?! Where are you?! C'mon, this...this isn't real! Please! Please, pick up! Weda!

[The last cry is mixed in with a wail and a sob, but she can't keep yelling into the phone forever. She hangs up, determined to go check her old house.]

[ Okay, so waking up in a hospital is a little disconcerting. Or a lot, whatever. But this phone message really cements how real it is... And makes Weda realize that people must have found out what happened at the spa.

She'll give a little sigh, and call Hibiki back before even texting Robert. THAT will probably be unpleasant, so... Might as well stall! ]

[Hibiki is brushing Inumi's fur when she gets the call. She doesn't bother checking who's calling...she's half-expecting it's Robert...and puts the phone up to her ear.]

Inumi, stay still! I'm just gonna take a sec--

Heya! This is Hibiki. ...Please tell me you didn't do somethin' weird, Robert-san.

[ Wow, what a relief! Hibiki is getting along with Robert? Hopefully he's not really there with her... ]

Ah, Hibiki! Are you with Robert?

[3...2...1. She drops the phone. Okay. Wait a sec. Now for real. 3...2...1.]

W-Weda! Y-you're back! [Here comes the tears!] W-wedaaaaaaaaa! I-I was so worried! Uwaaaaah! R-Robert-san and Inumi and I have all been waitin' for ya!

Yeah, I'm really fine!

[ Sort of, anyway ]

I bet Robert will be on his way really soon, so there's nothing to worry about. I can even stop by your new house and say hi before I go home, if you want!

I've been sleepin' in your room. With everything going on, I just...I just couldn't think of anywhere else to be. I've been keepin' it clean, though! Inumi has been really good about it, too! So...so if you just come straight home, that's okay!

Well, as soon as I woke up in a place I didn't recognize without Inumi...I kinda just ran out of there without sayin' anything. I'm lucky they were all asleep.

[That's her story and she's going to stick to it.]

[ She pauses. Physically, she's fine now. BUT IS SHE REALLY FINE? Probably. ]

I...I will. [She can't help but feel like she's being scolded.] I just had other things to worry about. It'll all be fine in the end, though! Nankurunaisa!

[There she goes with her catchphrase again, hopefully making it sound like her problem wasn't Weda's scary murder in the process.]

You have to come home right away, okay? I'm gonna make you some traditional Okinawan cuisine to celebrate!

[ Now Weda looks like she's being scolded... Mostly because she doesn't want to text Robert. ]

I'll talk to Robert right away then... Ah, that sounds fun though, is that um... Japanese?

Oh...right. I should probably make enough for him, too.

[can she sense the joy in Hibiki's voice.]

Mm! I'm from Okinawa! It's the southernmost part of Japan...it's an island chain all its own! Our food is super delicious, too! So just wait, 'kay?

Hey, Weda? Why does Robert think he's your bodyguard? He won't tell me.

I know that part, but why? Are you some kinda celebrity?

No, not really. My family hired him! Actually, I was sort of out in the jungle when they hired him, so I don't even really know the details myself.

Hmmm...are you the daughter of a president or something? He says it's classified, and him knowing something I don't is really annoying.

No... Actually, I don't think we've ever been in real danger either. Not in the city! Really, I think Robert is more of a driver than anything else, but he takes all of it very seriously.

But why do you have a driver? If you're not a celebrity...is your old man a politician or somethin'? I mean, don't most people not have drivers?

...W-wait, what did ya say about the jungle again...?

Oh! Well I went to live in the jungle when I was younger. We didn't really have cars there, so I never learned how to drive one. But... I guess it's just that my family is kind of wealthy or something, so that's why we have stuff like that.

It was totally a different story in the jungle though!

[She huffs. Even if this is over the phone, it's too weird. She wants to like him, really. He's been helpful. Almost nice once or twice.]

I don't think he'd ever protect me, even if I wanted it. He's pretty focused on you. You guys...don't have a history or anythin', do ya?

A history? No, nothing like that! In fact, I had only just returned home before I came here. So we had only just met. And really, even then, he spent more time with my son than with me.

I...see. Geez, that's even crazier! Why would someone like him go crazy protecting someone he's just met? And he's causin' you a lot of problems, too, right?

I guess I didn't mention him because he isn't here too. I heard that no time passes back where we're from originally, but I'm still a little worried. I can't just run home and check on him from here.

[Now she feels bad. She never stopped to think about how hard it must be for other people to be away from their families. She's glad she's only calling. She looks miserable right now.]
